Designing a Motorcycle
One Piece at a Time.
One of the projects that I'm actively working on is to bring to life many of the motorcycle designs I've sketched down on paper. In my free time just for fun, I make little motorcycle design doodles. And there's quite a few of them that I've always wanted to bring to some sort of realization, even if it's only in a 3D rendering.
So my first step to bringing them forward to that realization is to create generic assets that can be shared across multiple design models. Reusable assets such as wheels, tires, rear suspension, front suspension & steering forks, triple-trees, brake discs, etc.
And this wheel and tire is my very first asset created with that intention. Aside from the tire tread and text detail, the materials are entirely procedural using Modo's procedural textures, and rendered with Modo's built-in Renderer.
More to come!! :-)
